DeepSeek chat models mirror upstream DeepSeek 3.0.39: DEEPSEEK_API_KEY, custom base URL and headers, callable/language/chat aliases, deepseek.chat provider IDs, versioned user-agent suffix, reasoning/thinking mapping, providerOptions.deepseek thinking and reasoningEffort schema, cache-aware usage/provider metadata, JSON response instruction injection, generated fallback IDs for missing generate tool-call IDs, streaming response metadata, stream usage, OpenAI-compatible tool calls including strict mode, DeepSeek V4 assistant reasoning_content rules, V4 Flash Vision Exp inline, URL, and provider-reference images, Files V4 upload with user_data, expiry validation and structured errors, and unsupported embedding/image-generation families. The 3.0.37 pass also covered model-aware reasoning/sampling rules, log probabilities, user/message metadata, strict function-tool preparation, upload preflight and response metadata, complete usage, and typed stream failures. ProviderV4 type names, ESM-only packaging, Node 22 engines, and workflow serialization helpers are JS-only upstream concerns.

Factory argument requirements are defined by the public Swift factory signatures. Use Public symbols when you need the exact initializer or factory declaration.
